Rule 21

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalm 37:4(NLT)

Back in high school, I made a list of rules and I had forgotten about this list until God reminded me of it the other day.

It was just a Tuesday that felt like it should be a Monday. Ever have days like that??

I’ll be 25 next month and NEVER been on a date, meanwhile, people-YOUNGER than me- are getting engaged and going on dates. While being constantly single stinks, I believe God is preparing me for a man who will exceed every expectation I have.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

That all came crashing down on me and God whispered over my heart,

Life has no age limit

That’s rule 21, I took that reminder to mean

‘I’m not through with you. There is so much more.’

God’s timing is perfect and I just need to trust it. God can start giving me my heart’s desires whenever he wants. I just need to trust Him.

I got the idea to make a list of rules from CBS’ NCIS’ main character Agent Gibbs played by Mark Harmon. My list of rules differs from Gibbs, but it is a code to live our lives. you better believe starting today, I am living my life by my set of rules.
