We never know when our time on this earth is up, only the Father knows. Earlier today, my friend and I went to an accident site, where one of her friends died. And it struck me that the victim of the crash could have easily been me or my friend and that experience made me realize how short this life really is. Now I hate to think about death and dying, but the message needS to be out there.
Life is too short everyone, we don’t know when our time has reached its limit. There is no way to know when we are going to die. Maybe if the doctors give us 3 months, but still God is the ONLY one who truly knows.
The only thing we can do while we wait to join the party up in Heaven, is follow Jesus’ commands stated in John 13:34-35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
He says love one another as He has loved us. How does he love us? Unconditional love. Love that no matter what happens He always loves us. Christ loved us so much that he died for us.
“‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”” John 10:27b
We need to show that kind of love to our neighbors. Who are our neighbors? I would say that our neighbor is anyone we come in contact with. Even though we might strongly dislike them, the same Savior died for them, the same God created them in his image. So, I leave you with three simple words
Love one another.
