Cry out to Jesus

As I was icing my brothers birthday cake this morning, God gave me the idea for this post. I was aggravated, I had envisioned the perfect iced cake and wanted that to be his birthday cake (yeah that didn’t happen). one section of the cake was falling apart and I was trying to fix it.

I have gone through most of my life trying to fix my problems. however it is never successful. We need a Higher Power to transform our thoughts, hearts, and minds. I was falling apart when God came into the middle of my mess and started organizing and throwing away.I have since given up my need to fix my problems to God. He is still right now at this very moment fixing me and transforming my heart. But unlike the cake I can ask for a redo, when I am overwhelmed and fall into temptation. When I ask for a redo, He doesn’t laugh at the many times I have messed up, but he offers grace. And that grace is free there was nothing I did to earn it.  And when I offer those issues to God, He will heal them. I have witnessed the power and perfection of God Almighty in my own life.

He has healed me from anxiety and depression. He can heal you too. Whatever your problem is right now at this second. CRY OUT TO JESUS!

He will be your Deliverer, your Saving- Grace, and He will pick you up when you crumble and fall.

“In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.“~Psalms 18:6

Promises

The promise of a rainbow

“Lord, I pray today you lead me out of temptation’s way.”

That has been my daily prayer since I laid everything at the foot of the cross, all my mistakes, all my regrets and all my weaknesses.
Two weeks ago, I believe God spoke to me through a dream. I went Wesley, a weekly collegiate worship service, which was very impactful and on the way home I confessed some of my struggles to my friend,Emily. That night I fell asleep with my hand on my Bible, on 1Corinthians 10:13. That says,
“13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
When I awoke that morning, I remembered my beautiful dream. I dreamt my mom and I saw a rainbow in the sky. The rainbow was so vibrant, bursting with color. When I remembered that dream, I flashed back to the promise God made Noah in Genesis. That when a rainbow appears in the sky He would never let water cover the earth to destroy it. When I envisioned that rainbow, it was God telling me He fulfills His promises and will not leave me alone on this journey. And that promise is true for you, too. He stands ready to meet you in your mess and will never leave you alone on your journey.
You can start by saying, every day, “Lord, please lead me out of temptation’s way.”

God bless,
